Energy Efficiency Community Network

About Us

The Energy Efficiency Community Network (EECN) is a Charitable Trust representing community-based not-for-profit organisations in New Zealand who work in the field of residential energy efficiency.

What We Do

We work to actively support our members to promote

  • efficient use of energy
  • energy conservation
  • improved environmental outcomes
  • increased health and well-being of the people of New Zealand

EECN maintains relationships with research, government, advisory, and industry bodies, and contributes to policy development in the residential sector. We are actively building networks with compatible organisations to provide a strong community voice for the residential energy efficiency sector.

We are currently developing our membership policies and welcome expressions of interest from community-based not-for-profit organisations who are interested in joining the network. Please contact our Executive Officer Sally Blackwell for more information.

Home Energy Advice Centre

Home Energy Advice Centres

EECN delivers the Home Energy Advice Centre (HEACs) network. HEACs provide householders with free, impartial, expert advice about a broad range of energy use and investment decisions in their home. Please visit the HEAC website to learn what the HEACs do, and how to contact an advisor.
